CFC open-loop injection control

Powerful control of synchronous motors without encoder

An innovative method enables control without encoder even for dynamic applications. With CFC open-loop injection control, NORD optimises its drive systems featuring permanent magnet synchronous motors without encoder feedback. The method impresses with its high overload capacity and dynamics.

Your benefits with CFC open-loop injection control

High cost efficiency

  • No encoder is required. This reduces material and installation costs.
  • The method achieves high energy efficiency, especially in the partial load range.
  • Motors can be more compactly dimensioned for dynamic applications.

Fast commissioning

  • No encoder commissioning is required.
  • Thanks to the intelligent control method, the solution is quickly ready for use via plug-and-play.

Optimal overload capacity and high dynamics

  • Start-up occurs with 150% overload.
  • NORD's injection method enables more dynamic accelerations through shorter ramp times.

Sustainable solution

  • Thanks to their compact design, reduced weight and high energy efficiency, drive systems with CFC open-loop injection control are a sustainable solution.

Ideal for applications with frequent load changes

  • The method is highly suited for applications in conveyor technology, packaging, production and more.

How does CFC open-loop injection control work?

Injection-based speed control is a vector control method that precisely regulates the speed and torque of synchronous motors without requiring an encoder. To identify the rotor position in synchronous motors, current signals are injected into the motor's winding system. The resulting feedback can then be used to reliably determine the rotor's exact position.
