NORDAC PRO SK 500P: Control cabinet series now up to 37 kW

NORD DRIVESYSTEMS extends the power of its NORDAC PRO SK 500P frequency inverters: The entire control cabinet series now covers a range from 0.25 kW to 37 kW. Furthermore, variants up to 160 kW are in preparation. This way, the system supplier can meet various requirements in different industries.

The control cabinet series with its extended power range provides users with high compatibility and easy integration into Ethernet-based control systems via the integrated multi-protocol Ethernet interface. It can be used to integrate the control component into different networks. This includes the PROFINET, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP and POWERLINK protocols. Further protocols are covered depending on the model. A USB interface allows for voltage-free parameterisation.

PLC on board

The inverter-integrated PLC functionality for drive-related functions reduces the load on the higher-level controls. The POSICON positioning function implements various positioning tasks. It is equally able to control relative or absolute positioning using incremental or absolute encoders. Parameter set switching allows for the sequential positioning of up to four axes.

Control of different applications

With the extended NORDAC PRO SK 500P control cabinet series, users can implement a wide range of industry-specific drive applications. The inverters with vector control have overload reserves of 200%. They are thus suitable for the control of geared motors in heavy-duty applications or lifting systems. The PI controller and the integrated compensator control are ideally suited for pumps and winding systems. The frequency inverters allow for direct side-by-side installation and require only little space in the control cabinet.
