15th anniversary of the NORD subsidiary in Poland

In the anniversary year 2020, the Nord Napędy Zakłady Produkcyjne sp. z o.o. production facility in Nowa Sól will considerably expand.

On 1 May 2004, Poland became part of the European Union and one year later, on 26 April 2005, NORD DRIVESYSTEMS established a subsidiary at the Nowa Sól site. The first NORD production facility in Poland was put into operation in October 2006.

Within 15 years, Nord Napędy Zakłady Produkcyjne sp. z o.o. in Nowa Sól has developed into one of the most modern factories of the Getriebebau NORD Group. In the beginning, 20 people were employed there, but today there are around 320 employees. Even in this 2020 anniversary year, the expansion continues. By the end of the year, the Nowa Sól site will be expanded with a production area of 5,000 m2, an assembly area of 2,400 m2 and a logistics area of 3,400 m2. The total site area will be more than 35,000 m2. At the second Polish site in Wiechlice, a new motor factory has started operation.

In Nowa Sól, various cylindrical and conical worm drive units made from cast iron and aluminium are assembled and painted; with gear wheels and shafts manufactured on 52 CNC lathes and milling machines. The largely automated high-bay storage consists of 12,500 storage spaces. The plant is ISO 9001-certified.
